These instructions are for the Gmail mobile app, with SpeechTherapy.com added as a separate mailbox. They do not use Gmail website POP fetching or third-party “Send mail as.”
Start with your full SpeechTherapy.com email address and mailbox password. Our domain has automatic setup information configured, so a compatible app can fill in the server settings for you. If setup completes, you can skip the manual settings below. Some apps or versions still ask you to enter them.
Add the account
- Open Gmail and tap your profile picture or initials at the top right.
- Choose Add another account. On Android choose Other; on iPhone or iPad choose Other (IMAP).
- Enter your full SpeechTherapy.com email address. On Android, choose Personal (IMAP) if asked.
- Enter your mailbox password. Continue with any detected settings. If Gmail asks for server details, use the table below.
- Complete the remaining account prompts.
Only if Gmail asks for server settings
| Setting | Incoming mail | Outgoing mail |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol | IMAP | SMTP |
| Server | imap.speechtherapy.com | smtp.speechtherapy.com |
| Port | 993 | 465 |
| Connection security | SSL/TLS | SSL/TLS |
| Username | Your full SpeechTherapy.com email address | Your full SpeechTherapy.com email address |
| Password | Your mailbox password | Your mailbox password |
Outgoing SMTP authentication is required. If your app asks for an authentication method, use Normal password or Password over the secure connection. An alternative outgoing configuration is port 587 with STARTTLS; keep the port and security type paired correctly.
Do not choose Google as the account provider for your SpeechTherapy.com mailbox.
Use the correct mailbox
Tap your profile picture to select your SpeechTherapy.com account before composing. Check From before sending. The menu’s All inboxes view can show mail from multiple accounts together; it does not merge the accounts or set a universal sending default.
After setup, send a short message to another address you can check and reply to it. Confirm that the From address is your SpeechTherapy.com address. Choose your default sending address if your app supports that setting.
If you have not set a mailbox password yet, set it through your Dashboard. For connection errors, compare the server settings or open a support ticket. Do not turn off encryption or accept a certificate warning to complete setup.
