Set Up Your Email in Outlook for Windows

All Help Articles

Start with your full SpeechTherapy.com email address and mailbox password. Our domain has automatic setup information configured, so a compatible app can fill in the server settings for you. If setup completes, you can skip the manual settings below. Some apps or versions still ask you to enter them.

New Outlook for Windows

  1. Open View > View settings > Accounts > Your accounts, then choose Add account.
  2. Enter your full email address and continue. Enter your mailbox password when requested.
  3. Let Outlook detect your account. If it needs the account type, choose IMAP, then use the manual settings below.
  4. Complete setup and select your SpeechTherapy.com account when composing.

Classic Outlook for Windows

  1. Choose File > Add Account.
  2. Enter your full email address, choose Connect, and enter your mailbox password.
  3. If automatic setup does not complete, use Advanced options > Let me set up my account manually, then choose IMAP.
  4. Enter the manual settings below and finish connecting.

Outgoing SMTP authentication is required. If your app asks for an authentication method, use Normal password or Password over the secure connection. An alternative outgoing configuration is port 587 with STARTTLS; keep the port and security type paired correctly.

Choose the sending account

In classic Outlook, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings. On the Email tab, select your SpeechTherapy.com account and choose Set as Default. Under File > Options > Mail, enable Always use the default account when composing new messages if you want that behavior.

New Outlook uses different account and composing controls. Select the SpeechTherapy.com mailbox before composing and check From. Check the sender for replies as well. For a phone or tablet, use the Outlook mobile guide.

After setup, send a short message to another address you can check and reply to it. Confirm that the From address is your SpeechTherapy.com address. Choose your default sending address if your app supports that setting.

If you have not set a mailbox password yet, set it through your Dashboard. For connection errors, compare the server settings or open a support ticket. Do not turn off encryption or accept a certificate warning to complete setup.
